Short Animation: Disney's 'Paperman'

Directed by John Kahrs, Disney's 'Paperman' short animation, which is up for the Best Animated Short Film at this year's Oscars, is now online.
The short follows the story of a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute. Convinced the girl of his dreams is gone forever, he gets a second chance when he spots her in a skyscraper window across the avenue from his office. With only his heart, imagination and a stack of papers to get her attention, his efforts are no match for what the fates have in store for him.
'Paperman' seamlessly merges computer-generated and hand-drawn animation techniques.

  1. Thank you for uploading! I've been looking for this online since its release. All my friends have been talking about it like its the greatest thing since sliced bread. Memo to Disney, I don't always have time to see a full movie, but if you just put the short up, I will gladly see it and support it!

It is kind of an eerie animation style. Like 3D wearing 2D clothes or something.

    1. Been wanting to see this too, but as it was shown before 'Wreck-It-Ralph', which is released over here in the UK next week, not had the chance.

I really liked this. A very simple premise, very well executed. More like this please. I think I might have had something in my eye at the end though! ;)
